The weeks seem to whiz by so we must be busy! We started the week with zone counsel! I am amazed at most of these young missionaries and their abilities!! They pulled off a really good meeting! Gary was really struggling and didn’t figure out why until we got home and saw he had taken his pm pills so a sleeping pill instead of adhd stuff! He just had to come home and sleep it off! I spent most of the day trying to set up appartment check appointments and finding quilting stuff for our service project for December to tie quilts from YSAs for the Fisher house on base!
We got appointments for 6 appartments on wed, thur, and Fri. I like doing these because we get to know more missionaries and get to take them a treat! I did cup cakes and homemade bread for our two institutes! We had big groups and it was enjoyable!! We enjoy attending the classes also! Book of Mormon and Pearl of great price are both great. elder Mayer goes home this transfer and that is tough! We really like Elder Steen and Gonzalez . They always at institute!
We went to the temple wed night and ended up going after for a treat with Micheal Metcalfe the YSAs new Elders Quorum pres. and he lives with his aunt that will ba able to help us with quilt stuff!! It’s amazing how we have these little Miracles all the time. I’ve gotten two sets of frames from sisters Smiths connections so things work out when we need them to! The institute has money to pay for the fabric so it will be great!!!
Gary went out with a recently returned missionary tracking on Friday and they saw a lot of people and good information!it was really good for him to feel like a missionary! He has 3-4 new returnees that want to help us. We can’t take them in our car so they have to drive so he will go with one this week Wednesday afternoon and I will do other stuff. Friday last I cleaned the apartment!
Saturday is pday but do what we need too so we went and found quilt frames first. Invited Kuerths over for dinner and games so I spent the afternoon making soup and Bread! Just when they got here our missionaries stopped by so I was glad to have a loaf of bread to send with them!! We really enjoy our friends here! We visit easy and laugh a lot!! So glad they are around!!
We tried to get to both sacrament meetings today and we’re glad! Testimony meeting was good both places and both groups had biggest crowd so far! We feel torn because we want to be with both groups! We definitely have more Males at church than females which is a thing unique to Alaska!
We are grateful to be here! A mission is so great because of the single focus!! We read the Book of Mormon every day! We listen to conference talks as our companionship study! We do get to testify to these Young Adults and missionaries quite often!! We do share about our kids and grandkids a lot! We love you all so much!! Our Heavenly Father loves each one of us !! We know that!! Trying to lift others is the least we can do in return for all of our blessings!!! πππ»⛄️π«
Who would have thought you would use your talents of cooking and sewing so much!?π
